Have you had any serious heart or lung problems?
- Have your internist fax over your last pulmonary testing, or your most recent echocardiogram, and EKG.
- Make an appointment with them to get maximally “tuned up” long before your surgery.
- Make sure that you are following all your doctors instructions regarding medications and treatments ahead of time.
- Exercise daily in planning for your surgery. This makes for a shorter and better recovery.
